The relationship between intuition and "secret knowledge"

ree

What Do I Mean by “Secret Knowledge”?

The concept of secret or hidden knowledge is something I’ve explored deeply over the past few years. In mystery schools and occult traditions, there is often reference to secret truths. truths that can only be fully understood depending on your level of consciousness and your intuitive capacity to perceive them.

What I found fascinating is that through meditation, I would naturally arrive at insights that I later discovered reflected in spiritual teachings. The same has been true for many other meditation practitioners I’ve spoken to.

Even more intriguing is how many of these insights are shared across spiritual cultures and ancient civilizations. Despite being separated by time and geography, they often seem to describe similar metaphysical ideas, expressed in different symbolic languages. Many of these cultures also practiced meditation in some form.

That can't be a coincidence.

Meditation and Metaphysical Awakening

Meditation allows you to shift your state of awareness at will. With enough practice, it enables you to break through the surface layer of thought and access deeper, more fundamental parts of the mind, the subconscious.

When you meditate and seek clarity or ask a question, the voice that responds within you is often very wise. It offers answers that feel far beyond ordinary reasoning. The depth of intelligence that arises from the subconscious mind remains, in many ways a psychological mystery.

I believe that inner voice is what many interpret as God. It’s through this space of stillness and silence that I’ve come to many of my most profound metaphysical conclusions.

As your meditation practice deepens, your thinking starts to shift. You begin to perceive reality with more detachment from physical form. It becomes natural to think in metaphysical terms, about energy, archetypes, the symbolic nature of reality.

When I noticed that my perspectives began to mirror ancient philosophies. It was a strange and mysterious experience arriving at views once held by civilizations long gone, who also used meditation to explore reality. It felt like being let in on a secret, a truth you can only access after reaching a certain level of subconscious experience and meditative depth.

How we perceive the world is so subjective that it is only through introspection that you can arrive at these truths.

Without the intuitive ability to read between the lines or understand the archetypal nature of these truths, it’s easy to see how someone could become bound to a rigid spiritual dogma or religion. But when approached with openness and discernment, these insights can be beautiful to experience.

I didn’t begin meditating with any spiritual intentions at first. But over time, the practice opened me up to a much wider, more fluid perspective. It led me to live in a rich metaphysical reality, one that continually expands my perception and inspires how I move through the world.

Metaphysical Truths and Intuition

Over time, I’ve come to understand that the nature of truth is not fixed. Beyond a certain point, it becomes intangible, symbolic, and metaphysical.

To grasp certain truths, especially in the metaphysical realm, intuition is essential. These aren’t truths anchored in objective physicality, they emerge through subtle awareness, resonance, and imaginative perception.

They are felt and known more than they are proven.

If someone lacks intuitive grounding, these ideas might not land. Some truths will resonate; others won’t and that depends on a person’s level of awareness. There are some things that simply can’t be explained, no matter how clearly you try to articulate them.

To me, the existence of truths that exceed our current comprehension is undeniable. And it raises the question: what kind of knowledge lies at the very edge of human understanding?

The more expansive your awareness, the more raw material your mind has to distill into wisdom. And the deeper your wisdom, the more freedom you gain. Freedom in how you see, interpret, and experience the world.

Some mystery schools suggest that certain knowledge is kept hidden because it can be easily misinterpreted, or even dangerous if approached without preparation.

Some say that advanced metaphysical understanding can destabilize the mind. If a dog suddenly grasped the complexity of human war, it would likely be horrifying. It doesn’t have the context or consciousness to integrate that information. Similarly, if a person accesses metaphysical insights without the proper grounding or development, it can lead to confusion, spiritual delusion, or detachment from reality.

But when you build a strong foundation through intentional practice, awareness, and integration the metaphysical becomes a beautiful, expansive dimension that adds incredible depth to your life.

Even more interesting about our awareness of these truths, is that they are everyday common truths. We have sayings like "treat others how you want to be treated " when you become aware of karma, or the universal law of rhythm, or that we are all reflections , etc it's really eye opening. We are so unaware of how aware we are.
