Magic as pre contextual truth

Updated: Jan 28

Do you believe in magic? Some people feel it in every ounce of their body, a greater truth that they can’t comprehend, but they can feel. To others, magic means nonsense, irrational, illogical thinking that they scoff at. Some people wholeheartedly believe that some only choose to believe, that deep down they know how bleak and bland the world really is, and they are just finding new ways to entertain themselves.

But magic exists, it always has. It exists in possibility, potential. It's the moment your whole worldview changes, and you see your life with a whole new, fresh set of eyes. The moment you realise that there was always more, and look back at how seriously you took things. We chart into the unknown, and our understanding eventually catches up. There. Is. Always. More.

As long as you can think of the question, an answer exists out there somewhere.

Everything that exists today, all the mind-blowing technologies that we can’t seem to keep up with, has always existed as potential. They have always existed as truth. As a possibility. Take any new creation back 100 years, even 5 years. They would believe its magic.

As we have evolved, so has the context of our knowledge. In all innovation, there is this grey area from which realisations are grounded from the intangible cusp of the aether.

Magic is the truth that exists ungrounded from the context of our understanding, and it evolves as we do. The mystics dance on this edge of understanding, stringing together synchronicities, but a mystic to one is not a mystic for all. Different dimensions of understanding exist. A mystical thought in one lifetime might not be considered one in the next.

The mystical act of realisation charts into the same territory as analytical scientific discovery. The difference is intuition or logic.

The mystic feels the truth, and the scientist calculates it. The scientist has the context of their realisation from the ever-evolving sum of our understanding to lean back on, while the mystic can only hold their truth cupped to their chest in an indescribable sense of “knowing”

We charge into the unknown, constantly processing what was once chaos into order, and we develop our understanding of the world.
